A Holiday in Bangalore...

It was General Elections yesterday in Bangalore and a public holiday.Like so many other holidays me n my friend set out on a shopping spree.. No am not sleeping (as in the TATA tea Jaago Re campaign ad), I dont have vote in Bangalore, I couldn't vote at Kerala because I had to come to office..I read today in newspaper that even Madhavan Nair's (The Moon Man, they have described him like that in TOI today) name was not in the list, same with lots of other enthusiastic voters.. and yet there were debates in TV yesterday like 'Why Bangalore dint turn up to vote..?SMS your opinion to so and so number..'SMs is so popular theses day..For each and everything you can send SMS.. Ok so we went for shopping at Indira Nagar and to our surprise there was no traffic at all..!!!I think this is the first time I am seeing Bangalore like this on a public holiday..devoid of racing cars,BMTC buses,two wheelers and pedestrians...instead what we found at the front of CCD were two cows,standing on either sides of the median in a perfect romantic kissing pose..It was so sweet. Yeah we shopped a little since I have to rush to office for a one hr call with client.. On my way back to my flat in bus, the driver was totally clueless about the way..The conductor was directing him..Spend a nice evening with my roomies inside our flat watching IPL..But Kolkata Knight Riders lost the match...I dont have any favourites in IPL but since I love SRK I wanted KKR to win..So that was one of my quiet holidays in Bangalore...waiting for saturday to come :)
